The paediatric first aid course is also know as Early Years or Care for Children First Aid and is designed for people whose profession involves looking after infants and children.

Our Paediatric Courses are available in Sheffield, Chesterfield, South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire and Nationwide for groups and businesses.

This 12 hour two day course meets the standards required by Ofsted, SureStart and the Pre-School learning alliance among others.

The course also includes adult basic life support skills, but focuses on teaching the candidate to deal with a child or infant who may be unconscious, ill or injured up to the arrival of the emergency services.

This Paediatric course also exceeds the requirements for the One Day Appointed Person at work course as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive.

As a Protrainings approved centre, we are now also able to offer this training as a Blended course.

You complete day 1 of the course online, at a time to suit you, and then come to us for the second day to complete the hands on part of the course. For more information please call or email us.

Candidates will practice skills on life like child and infant mannequins.

This course is delivered using a variety of teaching methods which include DVD, Powerpoint presentations, lecture and discussions as well as hands on practice.

This ensures that candidates enjoy their course and helps them to retain information so that when they have completed the course they are competent and confident to deal with an emergency situation should it arise.

We are able to assist with NVQ portfolio evidence for any candidates who are currently taking an NVQ Course.

We want all learning to be inclusive, so if candidates need any additional assistance or requirements to aid learning, then let us know so we can make any appropriate adjustments to the course.

Why not add AED Automated External Defibrillation

The AED Course can be added to the this course, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are becoming more commonplace, you will find them at airports, shopping centres and some businesses.

There is proof that early defibrillation will dramatically improve a persons chance of survival in the case of sudden cardiac arrest.

If you would like to add AED to your course please let us know when you place your booking.
